What Hours Is Urgent Dental Care Available?
All Pro Dental has a wide range of office hours to better serve our patient needs. We see urgent care patients during all office hours. On Monday and Tuesday, we are open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed on Wednesdays. On Thursdays, we are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Saturdays we are open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sundays the office is closed. We understand that when a dental emergency occurs, you just won't have time to wait for an appointment. Give us a call while you're on the way, and we will quickly work you into the schedule to take care of your dental emergency as soon as possible.
How Do You Know if It's a Dental Emergency?
The range of dental emergencies can be quite wide. Some situations are very clear-cut emergencies, including a tooth being knocked out of the mouth, a broken tooth, severe swelling within or around the mouth, profuse bleeding in the mouth, anything that is not food getting stuck in the teeth, and severe toothaches that medication cannot alleviate. If you feel that something probably shouldn't wait until your next dental visit but you just aren't sure, it may very well be urgent. Give us a call and we can help you determine whether it's time to head into our offices right away or whether you can wait until your next appointment.
How Should You Handle a Dislodged Tooth?
Dislodged teeth are a fairly common dental emergency. To have the best chance of saving the tooth, time is of the essence. Call our offices right away so we can prepare to treat you -- and save the tooth if at all possible. Bring the tooth with you, avoiding touching any part of the roots. The best preservative for a dislodged tooth is either your own mouth (your saliva acts as a preservative) or in a glass of full-fat cow's milk (it contains natural preservatives.) With proper preservation and prompt action, re-implantation of the tooth is possible in many cases.
