Dr. Maha Alkishtaini first knew that she would enter the dental profession when she was only ten years old. By the time she was ready for college, that ambition had been firmly cemented in her mind as she attended the University of Jordan. Dr. Alkishtaini received her Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Jordan in 1998. She then went on to attend the University of Illinois in Chicago to receive another dental degree in 2006.

Dr. Alkishtaini has practiced dentistry in the Springfield and Fairfax areas of Virginia for more than eight years. Her dental philosophy is very much a patient-centered one. She believes in working closely with each patient to make sure that she fully understands all of their questions and concerns. Taking the time to make her patients comfortable is a top priority for Dr. Alkishtaini, and she also holds the belief that gentle dental care is the best kind of dental care. Even patients who have dental phobias can feel secure and safe when they visit Dr. Alkishtaini for dental cleanings, dental fillings, or any other procedure.

To better meet the needs of her patients, Dr. Alkishtaini has made a firm commitment to ongoing dental education. Every year she takes more than 30 hours of dental specialist courses that allow her to stay at the forefront of the dental field. These classes give Dr. Alkishtaini knowledge about the newest technologies and services available in the world of dentistry, and she offers cutting-edge dental procedures as a result.

Dr. Alkishtaini speaks both Arabic and English fluently and works with a very wide range of patients from every age group. She is proactive about helping others in the community. Every year she provides dental care for low-income families who could not otherwise afford it as a participant in the Mission of Mercy Project through the Virginia Dental Association.
